As an eager teenager, Mr. Turner monitored the aisles of the Kroger Grocery Store on Cascade Rd., which mind you, was the toughest neighborhood in the City of Atlanta at this time. The things he monitored, is what lead to this great career path, he was destined to endure. Turner was charged with performing Loss Prevention duties in the summer of 1998, as well as other duties. Mr. Turner enjoyed the feeling of apprehending shoplifters, but it just wasn’t enough. He began to research the Law Enforcement path and found that his age would hinder him at the time.

This is what led Turner down the next path of his journey. In the year of 2000, Mr. Turner went on to Graduate from the US Army Infantry School, where he served his country proud as an Infantry Foot Soldier, stationed at Ft. Drum, NY. Turner was able to specialize in long guns and small arms, where he gain more advanced knowledge of firearm tactics. After being Honorably Discharged, Mr. Turner went on to seek employment as a Security Officer, which landed him with Metro Enforcement. This Security Company was more like the Private Police for the properties they patrolled; each car equipped with cages, lights, and sirens. Turner was able to build his knowledge of GA LAW and the experience, only the hard core streets of the properties he patrolled, could provide.

At this point Turner was well per-pared for anything the Police Academy could throw at him and paid his own way through the academy. Graduating in 2003 and immediately landing a position with a local City Police Department, Turner was able to show his FTO, what the years of rough security in the bad areas of Atlanta could do for you. While riding with many different Police Officers in the beginning years, Turner saw one common problem within the Law Enforcement and Security arena; most officers lacked a true knowledge of Law and the fact that they were still all just a human being with a special job. This led Turner onto his next venture, becoming an instructor, which opened many doors.

Turner gained his first instructional certification in 2004, where he formed Elite Public Safety Training Academy. That certification was awarded by Taser International, which opened the door to many other opportunities. Not only did it open a door for Turner, but it led to the proper training of over 2,000 students trained in the States of GA, LA, TN, FL, and SC alike. Since that time Turner has went on to gain Instructor Certifications with the American Red Cross (CPR, AED, FA, and BBP Credits), American CPR (CPR, AED, FA, and BBP Credits), PPCT Defensive Tactics Association (Defensive Tactics), State of GA and TN (Classroom and Firearm Instructor), ASP (Baton and Handcuffing Instructor), and the State of IL (Concealed Carry Instructor).

During Turner’s professional career as an Instructor, Security Officer, and Law Enforcement Officer, he has been afforded the opportunity to gain great positions and network with the best in the industries. Turner has always been a shining light with any organization he has worked with and has always quickly moved up to a supervisory position in the ranks. One of Turner’s finest accomplishments was when he was awarded the position of Sgt. of the Clayton County Sheriff’s first Aviation Unit, by Unit Commander Lt. Col. Soloman Carter. This was a unit Turner helped to build from scratch, working with the likes of South East Golden Aviator Timothy Perez and Major James Dozier. Turner was the Flight Tactical Officer of the Sheriff’s OH-58 Helicopter.

At that time Turner also had the pleasure of meeting and working under Captain Mark Veasey, whom turned out to be Head of Security for a top name producer. This relationship blossomed into a professional bond, where Turner was able to gain work with Celebrities and corporate figures. Not only did this allow Turner to gain the experience he needed for future endeavors, but it was an eye opener to just how much Turner loved protecting others and their image. To date Instructor Turner boost over 16  years in the  Security Industry (12 of those with Executive Protection Experience), 11 years Law Enforcement Experience, and 2 years Military. 

 

Turner currently holds the CMAS (Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist) certification through ATAB (Anti-Terrorism Accreditation Board), has completed the Front Right Seat Leadership Synopsis Protocol, and is currently schooling for his CEPS (Certified Executive Protection Speacialist Certification).
